Lyrics to "In The Arms of the Angels" below, between pictures.
Please read the information about the disasters in Haiti and Japan at the bottom of this page.
This page is devoted to the memory of those lost in the terrorist attack on the United States of America, September 11, 2001, and the connected terrorist events following that date.
The United States of America is truly "The Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave."
Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
In the arms of the Angels, fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of the Angels, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
After the attack on the buildings, the U.S. experienced terrorism in the form of anthrax in the mail. Five people died...all postal workers. Several other postal workers tested positive. Many other people were also treated. That situation put Congress and other people on alert, including yours truly, since I had been in Washington, DC and Hampton,Virginia right after the attacks. I saw the damage to the Pentagon. I saw the attempts to deal with the anthrax problem as I sat helpless in Washington, DC.
The news relating to the terrorist attacks is ongoing. Currently, as of the summer of 2002, there is much concern about further attacks during holidays. The Federal security organizations (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.) are also being re-structured to combat terrorism more effectively. Many persons suspected of terrorism are being detained in "Camp X-Ray" ("Gitmo") in Cuba, and in prisons. As mentioned above, Osama bin Laden was killed by Navy Seals in Pakistan, May 1, 2011, by order of President Barack Obama.
The process of rescuing people is in progress. This will be updated as time goes on.
